“And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12.29-32

The Abundance We Americans Take For Granted

I was walking around my kitchen the other day and looked in my Freezer and Frig, completely packed.

It is just my wife and I, and I was amazed how much food we had, and that did not include our pantry.

I thought about it, and told the Lord, Lord, If we never took in one bit of food into our house for three months we could easily survive with all the food we had in the house.

Then we think of how little so many in other countries have.

I have been to Honduras some years ago for a few weeks and the people there appreciate the little they have.

And you know what, they are so much happier and friendlier than us Americans.

We run a little low on sugar or coffee, and we feel we need to run to the store right away to get it, because we are almost out of it!

Oh my!

Jesus said, “your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.”

I am so glad that we do not have to worry.

We serve a God, yea, OUR FATHER, who KNOWS we need these things.

I have been out of a job now for six months, but not a day have I had no food, clothes or shelter!

Praise the LORD!

What is More Important? Food or Souls?

Jesus went on to say this! “But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

What a Promise!

Jesus PROMISED us if we SEEK HIS kingdom, ALL these things, (FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHES) SHALL be added!

No need to worry.

So WHERE is MY focus?

Lord help me

It is SO easy for us to be thinking SO mush of what I need that we forget about others.

Seeking the Kingdom of God means we should be thinking about others who have GREATER needs then US!

Our Goal as Christians should be helping those who have not yet found Jesus as their Saviour!

What Does God Think About?

Did you ever think about this?

I have.

We can KNOW what God thinks about by His actions.

What actions?

The fact that He “SO LOVED the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3.16

Look What God did!!

God had a reason for sending his Son, he wasn’t sending His Son to go and play.

He didn’t send His Son to earth to be a big shot and show off that He was God.

He sent His Son to earth for YOU and I, because He LOVED us SO much.

God saw us pining away in our sins and wanted to help us, so He sent Jesus to die for our sins.

And when we repent of our sins, we FIND Jesus and become aware He has forgiven us of our sins!

Do you think His Love for us has changed?


So, then, what do you think God thinks about All day long?


HE STILL Loves and cares for us, and he wants ALL of HIs creation to be happy and feel His Love!

And we should share what God is thinking about with others.

We too should be thinking about the Needs of others, and not so much about ourselves.

God Wants To Help The Entire World!

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

It is GODS GOOD PLEASURE to GIVE us His kingdom!

It makes God happy when we receive the gift of His Son Jesus and enter into His kingdom!

And it should make US happy when we see others accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

IF God is always thinking about how he can help the whole world then so should we!

Even though God knows we can never reach the whole world, we can reach our family, we can reach our neighbors!

And we can reach the ones we come into contact every day. Give them a tract!

Let us stop thinking so much about our selves and think about helping others.

This is the very Mind of God, helping others.

Let us get on the same page as our God!

  1. Hi .. Thank you for this amazing post. Because of your writing, made me realize the importance of God in life. Sometimes I am too busy to do this endless and impermanent work. Although, I do this to support my family.

    In addition to my wrong focus, I am also a sinful human being. I truly believe that God is the Savior. However, can all my sins be forgiven? To be honest, I am very tired of this “Penance and Recurrent” cycle. But, I feel this is me as a human being within all my limitations.

    Finally , What do you think I can start doing to improve my steps going forward? thanks.

    • You are very Welcome Asmadi.  Yes, God has Power to Keep us from sinning, that is, if that is REALLY what we want.  

      I asked this question to someone years ago,  “If it were possible to live a life without sin, would you do it?”

      There is Power in the blood of Jesus, and I used to be in that condition a while ago, just living a life of sinning and repenting.  

      But then God delivered me from that mess, thank God!

      God Loves you my friend, keep praying and seeking HIM,  HE WILL help you!

      As for your last question.  Pray, pray pray, with ALL of your heart,  SEEK and ye SHALL find,  a PROMISE

      The pitiful reality is many who THINK they are children of God, are in reality NOT.  And they have convinced themselves that they are OK in the sight of the LORD, when the Lord is ready to spit them out of His mouth

      We must be honest with God, He KNOWS us,, He knows what we do in secret,  if we are WILLING to change, he can and WILL help us

  3. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33 is one of my favorite verses.

    Thanks for the helpful thoughts. I too started working from home building my online career. There are months that I earned less than $100 but still our Heavenly Father taken care of us very well.

    I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. – Philippians 4:12

    Daniel 12:3  “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”. Winning souls for our lord and saving people is our duty and top priority.
